Interactive map of events and Google Places (cafes, courts, trails). Distance filter, search, and “Playa Pick” — a curated, high-rated spot recommendation per activity per area.
Create events with visibility: public, approval-required, private, or QR check-in. Recurring events, cohosts, themes. Integrations with Ticketmaster for live events and ticketing.
“Who’s down for coffee tomorrow?” Send a broadcast to connections or post publicly. Recipients can accept and open a chat. One active broadcast per user to keep intent clear.
Request connections from activity interest or event attendees. Accept/decline, then chat 1:1 or in event/group threads. Notifications and message history.
Host-run raffle at events: countdown, roulette-style winner reveal, confetti. Scheduled raffle time and “show to attendees” toggle. Drives engagement and memorability at gatherings.

Our initial focus is US metro areas: adults 18–45 who want to do more in real life with both friends and new people. That’s a SAM of tens of millions in Tier 1 cities alone. We capture value through engagement (time on app, connections, events created/joined) with a path to premium features, promotions, and event/venue partnerships.
TAM/SAM support a multi-billion-dollar outcome if we become the default for “what’s happening and who’s in” in key cities.
Two core revenue streams.
Playa Plus & Playa Lux
Upsell paid features in premium tiers: enhanced discovery, more connections, priority in feeds, exclusive events, and other premium-only perks. Free tier drives adoption; Plus and Lux capture willing-to-pay users.
Collab with local businesses
Partner with cafes, venues, gyms, and activity spots to promote their businesses to Playa users — sponsored Playa Picks, promoted events, and in-app placements. Revenue share or fixed fees per city and vertical.
Premium subscriptions plus local merchant spend create a diversified, scalable business model as we expand city by city.
City-by-city density wins. We launch where we can achieve critical mass quickly and prove repeat usage before expanding.

First market: strong activity culture (beach, pickleball, coffee, events). Validate core loops, retention, and event creation. Default location and Playa Pick tuned for San Diego.

Scale the playbook: local places, events, and broadcasts. Density in neighborhoods and activity verticals. Partnerships with venues and event creators.
